I recently spent a couple of nights in the Dallas Hyatt. Dallas
being the town it is, there wasn't much to do other than
sit in my room and watch the porno channel. It was one
of those on-demand $15 all-u-can-view sort of deals.
However, I noticed that (a) all the anal action had been
edited out (even from an anal themed movie, something
like "Rear entry-in thru the out passage") and (b) there
were no cumshots, just lame "ecstacy faces".
Has anyone else seen such watered-down porn? I was
a little dissapointed, to say the least.

all places! The Kiwis offer both sr8 n' gay channels in the The
Carlton, Auckland (a Five star joint) my programme featured a jiucy
Rosebud offering featuring a young Mimi Myagi! Germany is hard core
too, but the hotel porn there can be very ho-hum, in spite of the props
rightly given to sites such as Puakavision.com and hvwmedia.com.
I've heard some parts of Canada deliver too.
Japan is a frustration with both local and US porn pixillated all to

Seriously, I think the editing is done at the production level (i.e.,
the hotel chain doesn't do the editing, nor the local government).
The hotel probably offers a guideline to the producers saying, we
want such and such, and you can't show this and that.
The director will then tape different cuts using different camera angles,
some with a bit more show, some at a more confined angle.
The editor will also add, remove, or replace shots or scenes so that
it's digestable to the hotel chain. They might preview the result
to the hotel chain and the chain will either buy it or make recommendations
for additional cuts (dt they would ask to include things, unless
they've seen the more graphic version, since it's impossible for
someone to ask for something they don't know whether it exists or
not).
So the decision to cut is made by the director and editor, with guidelines
provided by the producers and buyers.
That's my guess. How'd I do?

Being from Texas, I don't spend a lot of time in hotels here, but I have
viewed crappy hotel porn in NJ & FLA and it sounds the same as the Dallas
porn you witnessed.
BTW, I grant you that Dallas isnt that cool of a town, but you're pretty
lame if you couldn't find something to do there. What do you expect?

visuals weren't edited but as soon as the sex scenes started you didn't
hear any "natural" sounds/audio but some background music. Guess that
way the "neighbors" wouldn't be disturbed by the moaning and dirty talk.
Oddly enough in all the hotels I've been in I've heard more interesting
live moans/squeeks/creaks through the walls than these hotel videos had
in them!

My SO and I watched a hotel porn once. I swear, there's more skin and
heat in five minutes of almost any day-time soap opera than what we
saw for the whole 30+ minutes (until we gave it up and decided we
"got our money's worth -- you know you pay a flat fee for it, so you
might as well watch as much as you can before you turn it off in
disgust because the depictions are so friggin' lame).
